Castle in Bečov nad Teplou guards second biggest treasure in Czechia (after crown jewels on the first place): Reliquary of St. Maurus. The tour with the guide is fascinating like good criminal. The landscape around is beautiful: the town itself, rocks (for climbing), river and two Via ferratas in botanical garden. One very easy and small - perfect to try out with small kid (4.5 year old did it on my eyes :-)). We spent beautiful day in Becov.
Great place for a stop on the way Berlin - Prague (by car you need to go around 10 minutes from highway). Scenic place with restaurant and a tour thought the ruins of the castle from XIV century. By the entrance is offered paper guide in all European languages. Easy to walk even for 3-4 year old kids. (Not suitable for the pram).
Kašperské Hory is a mountainous resort rich in the history and attractions. Main square is full of restaurants and hotels. Delicious food, buildings are renovated and the offer is reach. We enjoyed most during the visit in Glassworks were we could blow our own mugs. From the city Kašperské Hory we walked through the fields and forest to the castle Kasperk build by Charles IV. Great atmosphere inside and interesting guide tour - suited for the time of the year. We learn about the Christmases in the middle ages castle and my son played the Charles IV himself.There is also possibility to ski. Definitely worth of visiting for the few days.
